Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the layout of independence harbor?

It’s a very large property with 14 courts and tons of amenities. Below is a quick map of the property with the buildings featured. For more info on getting around, check out our page on how to navigate the property.

does independence harbor allow pets?

The community is one of the pet-friendliest you will find. Each unit is allowed up to 2 dogs (or 2 cats) of any size.

We have two dog parks on the property - an enormous all-size dog park with plenty of room to run (for even the biggest dogs), and a small-dog only park for pups up to 20lbs. There are also tons of green lawn space and direct access to the pier and promenade so your furry friends will have many ways to stay active.

Does independence harbor have rentals?

Independence Harbor is a condominium association and is owned by the community. So we don’t rent units directly or have a leasing office. However, if an owner decides to lease their unit, you can find it on major listing services like Zillow.com or NJMLS.com

Is resident parking available?

Yes, each unit comes with parking, typically either 1 or 2 spots. This will be indicated in the deed for the unit. There are both outdoor spots and spots inside our community common garage (on the first floor level).

Is guest parking available?

Yes, while unit owners enjoy dedicated parking (depending on their deed), there is plenty of visitor parking which is marked below in green on the map. Guests must obtain a visitor pass when they enter the property through our 24-hour security gatehouse. All visitor spots are all marked with green painted lines. Parking passes should be shown in their vehicles window when parked.

when is the pool open?

Generally our outdoor pools and jacuzzi are open during the summer months - between memorial day and Labor day. However, depending on conditions, we may keep the pool open longer. Learn about all of our amenities here

is the entire property over the water?

No. Of the 14 courts, 6 of them are built on a very sturdy pier. In fact, the pier was engineered to withstand the weight of ford cars rolling off an assembly line and loaded onto barges to be shipped to dealerships. Check out our history for more

Who can supply documentation for the association?

If you are a future resident, a real estate professional, or a financial institution and in need of any association documents - like insurance information, financials, etc. please contact our property management company at: management@independence-harbor.com
